STORY
A student mycologist on Farway Museum's payroll, Dinny arrived in Rosaria with Blathers and Celeste to assist in the establishment of the museum's rural wing. This area was rich with fossils to be excavated, free of light pollution and suitable for an observatory, and harbored strange fungi never before seen anywhere else.

Dinny is the only human currently residing in the village, having given up on life among her own kind. She possesses no grand life aspirations and merely wishes to enjoy a peaceful life, free of worries and responsibilities. Her friendship group consists of Victoria, Tipper and Pashmina - the foursome dubbed "The Barnyard Gang" by the other residents. She is romantically interested in the washed-up rock star, Static the squirrel.
PERSONALITY
She has a somewhat abrasive personality and mean-spirited sense of humor, but means well. Dinny displays a low tolerance for individuals with "shallow" (according to her) interests such as celebrity gossip and reality television, and gravitates toward those with more grounded, humble dispositions.

Strengths: Self-sufficient, able to take care of herself and solve her own problems. A person who enjoys an ascetic existence, priortizing friends and connection to nature. Practicing in academia, reasonably "book smart".

Weaknesses: Antisocial and cold toward other humans, viewing them as the root of all evil. A somewhat stoic person who feels uncomfortable with big displays of emotion, grossed out when friends cry in her presence.
TRIVIA
- Series/setting: Animal Crossing
- Established a side-business selling hallucinogenic mushrooms upon discovering psilocybes were plentiful in Rosaria's pine forests. Sometimes ingests these herself, usually in a tea.
- Has been accused of being a 'furry'. (note: in the Animal Crossing universe, this does not refer to humans who engage in a subculture based around anthro characters, but humans who express an exclusive romantic preference for animals)
- This character is anchored to a particular point in time and part of the Animal Crossing series - she is 20 years old somewhere between 2004~2006 and corresponds to Population Growing! (Gamecube) and/or Wild World (Nintendo DS), not later entries.
- Character is about 70% a straight self-insert and 30% her own character, with traits and adaptations to fit her into the Animal Crossing universe and context of her story.
